Welcome to the Adams Family Reptile Den care guides. Here are a few simple and necessary steps to make sure your new snake addition will live a long, happy and healthy life.
Settling into their new home
We understand the excitement of bringing home a new reptile. To ensure a smooth transition for your snake, we highly recommend allowing a full week for them to settle into their new environment. During this crucial period, please refrain from handling or feeding your snake. This allows them to de-stress and acclimate to their surroundings without additional disturbances, promoting a healthier start.
The enclosure is to be no larger than 1.5 foot for a hatchling. Increase the enclosure size as the snake matures.
Please allow 1 week for your new snake to settle into its new home. NO FEEDING OR HANDLING.
Enclosure sizing for happy reptiles
Proper enclosure sizing is paramount for your snake's growth and well-being. For a hatchling, your enclosure should be no longer than 1.5 feet. This provides a secure and manageable space. Temperature control for optimal health
Maintaining correct temperatures is vital for your snake's metabolic functions and overall health. We recommend an enclosure temperature of 33 degrees Celsius at the hot end and 27 degrees Celsius at the cooler end. Consistent and accurate temperature regulation is one of the most critical aspects of snake husbandry, ensuring your reptile thrives and stays healthy.
